145 | Take Back Control of Your Feelings Using Stoicism

Copy of Frustration Fix (4).png

As we grow up and realize how much of the world isn't within our control, it's easy to begin to feel anxious and helpless - and that's where the power of the ancient philosophy, Stoicism, comes in.

If you want to know how I managed to be so resilient and turn my life around after the loss of my sister, Stoicism is a huge part of it. It's a philosophy not many young people know about, but should, especially if we want to become more resilient and create better futures for ourselves, and this world.

But what is ''Stoicism'' and what's it all about?

I've brought on psychotherapist and Stoicism expert, Donald Robertson, onto the show to explain more about the principles of this ancient philosophy and the important role it can play in our modern world. He'll help us understand why practicing Stoicism can bring more meaning, joy, strength, clarity and control into your life - and simple Stoic strategies you can practice immediately to help you do so!

I LOVED this interview and learned SO much from Donald, who is also incredibly skilled in CBT & ACT therapy, which have also been powerful in transforming my life alongside Stoicism. There’s SO many nuggets of gold in this episode to help you become more emotionally resilient, so be sure to tune in to this awesome interview now! 🎧
